Santa Barbara Plantation is owned by SFT Investments Limited, the Smeets family trust, headed by Christopher G. Smeets. The Smeets family are longtime residents of Curaçao, and are highly respected fiduciaries in the field of international finance.

Developing Santa Barbara is VIDA Group, N. V., headed by its president, Jack Marshall, whose previous projects include the acclaimed Beaver Creek resort community in Colorado, Elkhorn at Sun Valley, and Pebble Beach Lodge.

Rod Moser, Marshall’s longtime colleague in resort development, serves as managing director and project manager for the 1,500 acre resort community. Moser oversees planning, construction and financial affairs for Santa Barbara Plantation.
